- Dabboo Ratnani
Dabboo Ratnani is a famous celebrity photographer who regularly shoots with the biggest names in Bollywood for his annual celebrity calendar. In a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, Dabboo shared a fun story about Hrithik Roshan’s early career. A Redditor asked Dabboo if he had ever canceled a project due to “weather or when it just wasn’t working,” and the photographer recalled that when it started raining suddenly during his first shoot with Hrithik, there was “zero fuss” from Hrithik’s side.
He said, “It started pouring during Hrithik’s first-ever shoot (his portfolio). Even though there was just a little bit of shade on the terrace, we were able to get some great shots. He didn’t care if he got wet. Not a peep was made. Even now, he continues to astound us. Admire his energy and competence. Another story from the 2007 calendar that Dabboo Ratnani remembered was Hrithik Roshan and “dealing with a shoot that was particularly fun or challenging.” “There was a shot with Hrithik where he was reading a newspaper and fell in a pool while doing that,” the photographer said. Both fascinating and demanding. It was a 2007 calendar page.
Dabboo responded, “There are so many to choose from…” when asked to pick his favorite celebrity to work with on set. But Hrithik keeps coming to the forefront of my mind… His photo shoots are always brilliant and original
- Kareena Kapoor
When asked why she left Hrithik Roshan’s Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Kareena Kapoor replied she was “glad” she did. “His father invested five hours into each and every one of his.” … Pyaar Hai, among other topics, in a noteworthy interview in the year 2000. Kareena made her acting debut with Abhishek Bachchan in the 2000 film Refugee. Pyaar Hai, but the project fell through. Her mother, Babita, chose to remove her from the project
Kareena told Filmfare that she could have become a huge star if she hadn’t walked away from the project, but that she ultimately decided that she just wanted to be an “actress.” The film was created specifically for Hrithik, she explained. His father put in five hours of work on each and every one of his shots, whereas Ameesha didn’t even get five seconds of attention per shot. In several scenes, her face is blotchy, and she has bags under her eyes. She is obviously not attractive, in contrast to his flawless pose. Which is why I’m relieved I didn’t participate in the movie. Thank goodness Hrithik and I were able to leave the theatre on good terms.
