Amitabh Bachchan many brushes with death are reflected upon. Throwback

Amitabh Bachchan
No one knows how many times Amitabh Bachchan has been rescued from certain death on the sets of various films—from the moment the nation prayed for his recovery after he took a blow to the solar plexus while filming Coolie in 1982 to his most recent broken rib while filming Project K in Hyderabad.
However, the disease that caused the trauma occurred in December of 2005. Mr. Bachchan called for an hour straight from a medical facility. He elaborated on the debate that arose because of his attendance at a film festival. A stop at a hospital in Delhi on the way to Mumbai quickly turned into unfounded rumours regarding his health.
Before he was hospitalised and operated on in December 2005 for severe stomach pain, he spent the morning on the phone methodically correcting a media inaccuracy. The afternoon news flash revealed that he had been admitted to the hospital.
There was no need to worry about him, he declared that December morning. The birthday celebration for my late father, the poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, took place on Sunday, and I was in Lucknow to attend it. This small sickness hit me on the flight back to Mumbai. Just that. There’s no reason to make a big deal out of it when there are more pressing national concerns that need our attention.
