Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, broke records at the box office by earning more than Rs 1 billion in its first weekend of release. Arbaaz Khan, commenting on the continuing financial success of the Siddharth Anand-helmed film starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and others, said that the film deserved its success and was a lot of fun to watch.
“Indeed, the timing was impeccable. For all that Shah Rukh (Khan) and his family have been through in the past two years, I feel bad for the guy. According to Arbaaz’s recent interview, the film was well-deserved and entertaining, and Shah Rukh gave his best performance.
While discussing the widespread calls to boycott, numerous protests, and vandalism of theatres that occurred after the release of Pathaan, Arbaaz added, “No one reads articles about people because they don’t care about them. They will arrive if you just let the pressure off gradually. If you cause chaos or damage theatres, fewer people will be willing to risk their lives to see your productions. But if you’re wondering whether they’ll actually boycott it, the answer is “no.”
Arbaaz recently hosted the talk show The Invincibles, where he and other former Hollywood stars discussed their lives in an open and honest manner. He also recently made an appearance in the hit Netflix show Tanaav.
