Amar Kaushik breaks down the visual effects used in Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya sequence

Varun Dhawan, who worked in a hotel to get into shape for October and who worked out to get his Bhediya look, should be commended for the effort he puts into his films. While the movie received a mixed reception, those who saw it generally enjoyed it. Varun’s Bhediya transformation moment received a lot of compliments. Many people were surprised to see how minimal visual effects were used in that scene. Director Amar Kaushik has stated that he aimed for an organic appearance.
Varun’s incredibly muscular appearance throughout filming was not what the director had in mind; he wanted him to look more natural and relaxed. Therefore, it was requested of him to shed some pounds, and the resulting transformation sequence was shot in a single take.
Amar Kaushik told an authoritative online publication that he planned to film the werewolf change in a single take in order to shock viewers all around the world. The director also said that Varun did 20 takes of the same shot, but Kaushik used the first one, which left everyone, including Varun, puzzled.
