‘Brahmastra’ wins five prizes and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ takes home ten at the 68th Hyundai Filmfare prizes, 2023

The best of cinema were honoured at the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023, also known as the grandest night in beauty. The film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ starring Alia Bhatt, was a clear victor, taking home 10 awards, including Best Film, Best Actor (Female), and Best Director.
The film ‘Badhaai Do,’ starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, won a total of six prizes, including those for Best Actor (Male), Best Actress (Critics’ Choice), and Best Story.
The Ayan Mukerji film starring Ranbir Kapoor, titled “Brahamstra: Part One – Shiva,” won the most technical honours. Here are the evening’s most significant triumphs.

Jahnvi Shrimankar, for her performance of “Dholida” by Gangubai Kathiawadi, won the RD Burman Award for Emerging Musical Talent.

Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray’s Gangubai Kathiawadi won the award for best production design.
Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara, for Gangubai Kathiawadi, won the award for best background score.
Kruti Mahesh, for Gangubai Kathiawadi’s Dholida, won the award for best choreography.
Six awards were given to Sudeep Chatterjee, who directed the cinematography for the film Gangubai Kathiawadi Badhaai Do.
