Officer Sameer Wankhede working on the Aryan Khan case is charged with corruption by the CBI

CBI
Former NCB official Sameer Wankhede and others are being investigated for corruption by the CBI. The complaint was submitted on Friday, and the Mumbai offices and rumoured Wankhede home are currently being searched by the investigative agency. More information is needed concerning this case of alleged corruption.
Wankhede had been the head of the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Mumbai office, where he led the investigation into the drug case involving Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. After a raid on a cruise ship on October 3, he was leading the investigation and had taken Aryan Khan into custody, among others. Aryan was released from Arthur Road jail on bond on October 28 after spending several weeks inside.
In May of 2022, NCB exonerated Aryan Khan for “lack of sufficient evidence.” Since the NCB team and Wankhede were accused of being overbearing, a separate vigilance investigation was launched. Seven policemen were disciplined for their roles in the ‘drugs on cruise’ scandal, and officials reported that Wankhede was sent to the DG Taxpayer Service Directorate in Chennai.
