Reaction from Priyanka Chopra, Samantha, and Varun Dhawan to their crossover in “Citadel”

Joe and Anthony Russo’s “Citadel,” starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, is set to be released in one week, but fans are already eager to find out how it ties in with the Indian and Italian installments of the series.
The Indian installment of the high-stakes series, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha, is directed by Raj and DK, who inject their own style into the proceedings. During an interview with ETimes, Priyanka clarified whether or not her character will interact with the desi agents. Priyanka, ever the superspy, tantalised with a “Maybe, maybe not.”
She continued, “But I think all the shows so far, the Italian show, the Indian show, and our show are connected to each other as a story.” So, the more episodes you watch, the deeper you’ll go.
PeeCee’s first series since giving birth to her daughter Malti Marie is also available on Prime Video. She will play the part of Nadia, an independent and capable agent who rises through the ranks to become one of Citadel’s most elite spies. We asked Priyanka what she thought of the Russo brothers’ treatment of her character because there aren’t enough strong female protagonists in movies right now.
“From the first time I met Joe and Anthony and Jennifer Salke, who’s the head of Amazon Studios, the ambition was always to create a spy show where the female and the male are toe-to-toe,” said Priyanka, explaining their power-play. “They are the best in the business, and then they also have chemistry, and to create this really convoluted, delicious, juicy world around them.” Our showrunner, David Weill, together with Joe and Anthony, do a fantastic job of writing for Nadia, which I greatly appreciated. Since it’s so uncommon.”
Starting on April 28, a new episode of “Citadel” will be released each week until the season finale on May 26.
