Sohum Shah: Studied police in order to portray one in ‘Dahaad,’ he says

Actor Sohum Shah revealed that he had to do extensive preparation and research to play the role of a police officer in ‘Dahaad’ and do justice to Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar’s vision.
Sohum said, “The persona was fascinating to me since it was completely new territory for me. What I accomplished before was either extremely strenuous or characteristically simplistic.
But the one in Dahaad is unlike any other game I’ve ever played. In terms of training, I had to make some changes to my appearance and get into shape. I visited numerous police stations so that I may become familiar with the officers’ customs, language, and idioms. My protagonist, Kailash, has a lot of layers.
Sohum elaborated, “He comes across as harsh on the outside but is actually rather soft within. It took me some time to figure out his mental state.
Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, and Gulshan Devaiah, together with Sohum, appear in the series, which was produced by Excel Media and Entertainment and Tiger Baby.
Reema Kagti, Ruchika Oberoi, Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti serve as the series’ directors and executive producers, respectively.
