Alia Bhatt celebrates one year of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ with Sanjay Leela Bhansali; shares pic from director’s birthday bash

On Saturday, Alia Bhatt posted a photo of herself and her director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to celebrate the first anniversary of the release of their film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The party was held at SLB’s house yesterday evening, and the photo was likely taken there. Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, and the rest of the cast of “Heeramandi” showed up to the director’s white-themed party looking fabulous.
Alia and Bhansali are teaming up again for ‘Baiju Bawra,’ following the success of ‘Gangubai. She’ll co-star with Ranveer, the film’s male lead. Latest rumours have it that Alia will return to work on the SLB project in June or July, after taking time off for her pregnancy.
After “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” this film will be Alia and Ranveer’s second time working together.
While Bhansali is getting ready to release his over-the-top series “Heeramandi,” it is clear which of these two approaches he is more invested in. Courtesans Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh are introduced to viewers in the teaser. Against the turbulent backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle in the 1940s, the stories of courtesans and their patrons reveal the cultural reality of Heeramandi, a glittering district.
