The upcoming film “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, will be directed by Sameer Vidwans. The two were recently sighted filming a music video in the city.
The actors reportedly worked nonstop this week at the Royal Gold Studio in Goregaon on two garba performances.
According to the source, Kartik, who plays Prem, is a Gujarati boy who falls in love with Kiara’s character Satya after meeting her for the first time at the garba.
A year later, during the celebrations, Kartik’s character returns to the same location for nine nights in the hopes of reuniting with his beloved, but to no avail.
Some photos and videos of Kartik and Kiara on the set of ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ had previously made their way online. The couple appeared to be shooting a touching wedding scene, complete with them both dressed in their wedding apparel.
The original title of the movie was Satyanarayan Ki Katha. The film’s creators altered the title to “Satyaprem Ki Katha” after receiving complaints that the original name “The Gods Must Be Crazy” was offensive to religious sensibilities. On June 29 of this year, the film will debut in theatres.
