In the upcoming Hindi adaptation of Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s ‘Chathrapathi,’ Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas will make his Bollywood debut. Even though the film doesn’t open until this coming Friday, the young Telugu actor has already fallen in love with Bollywood.
Sreenivas spoke candidly about his experience working in a Hindi film, saying, “The love I had got from the Hindi audience, as my Telugu films which got dubbed in Hindi got amazing views and I wanted to thank them in the right way by giving them a great film, so our whole team tried and worked hard. I always believed that acting in Hindi films was a pipe dream for any aspiring actor since “Hindi cinema is the only way to reach every corner.”
Bellamkunda, who in 2015 received an award for best male debut in a Telugu film, shared his hopes for the movie.
I need another one badly. I made the most money with my first picture in 2015 (a Telugu movie), and I’m confident that ‘Chatarpathi’ will do the same in 2023.
Since the movie is so action-packed, Bellamkunda stressed the importance of balancing the thrills with some heartfelt moments for the best possible viewing experience. “Whenever content merges, action requires emotions,” he stated. As doing something merely because you feel like it isn’t fun. Like if you feel something, you have to do something, and then that something becomes amplified. Therefore, I have faith that this highly-emotional film will turn out well.
The film’s subject matter, in my opinion, merits the most expansive presentation conceivable. When asked for his thoughts on the movie’s plot, Shreenivas elaborated, “It’s a great film, it’s amazing material, and I am sure when you see this film you will definitely love it, and I am sure that the audience will say that it is ‘paise wasool’ (worth the money).
He seemed optimistic about his Bollywood career and noted that every Telugu film star had found success in the industry.
Films like “Sita,” “Alludu Adhurs,” “Kavacham,” and many more have made Sreenivas a household name.
The protagonist in ‘Chatrapathi’ overcame adversity and became the saviour of exploited immigrant workers.
Aside from Bhagyashree, the film also features Sharad Kelkar, Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, and Shivam Patil.
Sreenivas Bellamkonda, who plays the lead role, previously commented on his experience working on the film, saying, “I’m happy to make my Bollywood debut with a special film like ‘Chatrapathi,’ which is a highly thrilling and engaging mass action entertainer.” It has been a thrill and a challenge to work on this film, and we can’t wait to show it to audiences all throughout India.
This movie is an official Hindi translation of the original Telugu film of the same name, which starred Prabhas and Shriya Saran and was directed by ‘RRR’s SS Rajamouli.
