According to the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Nawaz Sharif shouldn’t have been handcuffed. “Despite our, political differences, he was a former prime, minister and, should not have, been handcuffed,” argues Ali Muhammad Khan.
Ali Muhammad Khan, the imprisoned, leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed his, regret on Saturday, by saying that, Pakistan Muslim, League Nawaz, (PML-N) supremo, and former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif “shouldn’t have been handcuffed” when he was, arrested during their, tenure as, leaders of the country. This appears, to be a departure, from the position, taken by Khan’s party.

“As of today, I am bound in handcuffs. My stance was against putting handcuffs on Nawaz Sharif, and I even made a statement to that effect. “Despite the fact that we hold different political views, the fact remains that he was a former prime minister, and as such, he should not have been handcuffed,” the leader of the PTI stated while speaking to reporters on Saturday at a municipal court in Mardan.”[..] because this is not the prime minister but rather 220 million people of the country who are handcuffed,” he stated.He was alluding to the arrest of the former Prime Minister Nawaz and his daughter Maryam Nawaz upon their arrival in Lahore in 2018, following their convictions on corruption charges handed out in their absence.

Ali Muhammad Khan had just been freed from the jail in Mardan when he was taken into custody again, making this his fifth stint behind bars.After being freed from all of the cases relating to the mayhem and attacks on civic and military installations that occurred on May 9, the leader of the PTI was finally able to walk free from the prison where he had been incarcerated.The judge issued an order to the authorities directing them to release the suspect if his arrest was not required in any other case.Shortly after his release, the agents of the anti-corruption establishment (ACE) put him into arrest in another instance from outside the ATC premises.
