I am there to protect Jacqueline Fernandez, conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar tells Patiala House Court
Friday, Patiala House Court in Delhi heard statements from alleged con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who spoke at length about his girlfriend, Jacqueline Fernandez. He claimed that the actress had nothing to do with the Rs 200 crore extortion plot. According to India Today, Sukesh reassured the court that Jacqueline was not involved in the case, assuring her that he would look out for her. At an earlier time, when Sukesh was being escorted out of a Delhi court by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), he wished Jacqueline a happy Valentine’s Day after being questioned about his relationship with the actress. Sukesh’s response to hearing that Jacqueline claimed he used her was, “I don’t feel comfortable making any judgements about her. She is entitled to her opinion. What I don’t want to do is talk negatively about her. It’s natural to want to keep someone you care about safe from harm.” Jacqueline claimed in her statement that Sukesh made her life a living hell by playing with her emotions. The actress is named in the chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate as part of a money laundering investigation into the scam.
