Wedding of Hansika Motwani to Sohael Kathuriya was fit for a princess. The couple tied the knot in front of close family and friends in December 2022 at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan. On the most recent episode of Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama, her mother Mona Motwani was seen demanding that the groom’s family pay her Rs 5 lakh for missing the ceremonies.
Even though the wedding ceremonies went off without a hitch, Hansika’s mum was still angry at Sohael’s side of the family. One time she was heard to be groaning about them. To put it mildly, I have a favour to ask. People of the Kathuria ethnic group are notoriously tardy, while those of the Motwani group are always on time. To compensate me for every minute you’re late today, I’m asking for Rs 5 lakh. Due to the unlucky timing of 4:30-6:30 PM, I humbly request that you kindly abide by my request. Mona said, “I would appreciate it if you could arrive a little early.
When asked about how she felt when she first saw Sohael at the mandap, Hansika elaborated. She felt like she was experiencing a dream. That realisation hit me like a tonne of bricks, and I thought, “I am getting married to the love of my life.” Truly, this was a wonderful sensation. Here we go, things are about to get serious. My fiance and I have decided to get married. I’m at a loss for words. And it was so out of the ordinary that I lost it,” she admitted.
Besides his role as a designated partner for Hansika’s event management company, Sohael is a successful Mumbai-based businessman. He has been an entrepreneur since 1985, when he founded the textile company he now owns and operates.
Hansika’s announcement of her engagement to Sohael in November of last year caught everyone by surprise. Her fans were left eagerly anticipating her wedding after she shared photos of her dreamy proposal at the Eiffel Tower.
