Recently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui announced that he will no longer take any supporting roles in films. The actor elaborated that he did not have to be a hero, but that his part had to play a significant role in the story.
Nawazuddin recently told a news website that he would still consider working with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh if the role was substantial in a major film. He claims that there is a significant difference between leading and supporting parts in Hollywood. Doesn’t matter if you’re in Europe or Hollywood. In contrast, supporting characters have a minor role here. Nawaz continued by saying he doesn’t want to duplicate his earlier escape feat. Even if he needs to put his own money into the film, he will only take on leading roles, he said.
Nawazuddin elaborated, saying that this does not imply that he will solely play heroic characters in the future. He mentioned that in the film “Raees,” he performed a major part opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Even if “Heropanti 2” bombed, he was still a key part of the film. According to Nawaz, those are the kinds of leading jobs the actor is seeking at this time.
Nawazuddin was last seen in the film ‘Afwaah’ by Sudhir Mishra. ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra Ra’ is the next film he’ll be in. The upcoming film, directed by Kushan Nandy and starring Neha Sharma, Sanjay Mishra, Mahakshay Chakraborty, and Zarina Wahab, was written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali.
