‘Nita Ambani is above all Bollywood stars and celebs in the world, she is the queen,’ says celebrity make-up and hair expert Nishi Singh

Nishi Singh, a celebrity hair and makeup artist, has travelled a long way to be where she is now. Nishi has worked closely with Bollywood A-listers for over a decade, and her filmography includes titles like “Dhadak,” “Jug Jugg Jeeyo,” “Prithviraj Chauhan,” “Ghost Stories,” etc. She has also participated in films that have yet to be released to the public, such as the upcoming film by Anurag Basu starring Janhvi Kapoor, OMG 2, and Yodha.
When ETimes contacted the expert, she discussed her work with Nita Ambani. Nita Madam has an extraterrestrial vibe. I felt quite out of place when I did her makeup because the whole process had been recorded. The minute she greeted me with a “How are you?” I had the chills. The queen has arrived. I asked her several times whether she was okay with me putting the makeup, and she seemed to be fine with it. It’s a whole new experience to work with her. She is more famous than any Bollywood actress or any celebrity. It’s like a whole other sensation when she puts on her makeup and enters that zone. “It’s much bigger than any movie,” Nishi says of her first meeting with Nita Mukesh Ambani.
Nishi related, “I did Nita madam’s make-up during the inauguration at NMACC and also met Mukesh sir.” Very modestly, she also introduced me to him. They have a great deal of humility.
