Padma Lakshmi offers her thoughts on the ending of ‘Top Chef’ Padma Lakshmi was a part of the show ‘Top Chef’ for a total of 17 years, which included 19 different seasons.Padma Lakshmi has been very frank about the decisions that led her to leave the Top Chef franchise after 17 years. When the Bravo judge was asked about why she was leaving the programme, she reacted during an interview with the Los Angeles Times by saying, “There were a whole lot of different complicated factors that went into this decision.” The most important one is “Taste the Nation,” which occupies me in the most positive way possible, intellectually, spiritually, and creatively, and I just want to keep producing it.
publication of the book
She admitted that the publication of the book was one of the reasons, saying that “other than writing my memoir and editing the anthology [of travel essays], it has been the most gratifying work of my life.” I enjoy watching both shows for quite different reasons, and I consider myself really fortunate to be able to watch two successful television programmes at the same time. That’s like capturing lightning in a bottle; I couldn’t imagine giving that up under any circumstances. You are probably aware that Hollywood enjoys keeping you in a state of pleasant fear.
Taste the Nation
She also mentioned the arduous shoot that she had to endure, which made her feel fatigued and prevented her from spending much time with her family.”My grandmother passed away this time last year. She was like a second mother to me. The following week, I had to go film “Taste the Nation,” which, in all honesty, was the best thing that could have happened to me since it kept my mind occupied. It’s fine because I only have to spend one week away from home on the road, followed by one week off during which I work to prepare for the next week, but at least I get to spend the night at home with my son.
During the spring break, we were able to get away for a week, and in August, we were able to take two weeks off. Then, all of a sudden, I found myself working on the set of “Top Chef” from the middle of August until October. Consequently, I spent the entire time between February and October traveling. And I had no energy left. I just want to take some time to relax and enjoy the good things in my life.
