Saif Ali Khan, Prasoon Joshi, Drashti Dhami, and others pay their respects at a devotional meeting held in honour of Pradeep Sarkar

The suddenness of Pradeep Sarkar’s death shocked everyone in the Bollywood film business. Today (April 2) in Mumbai, the director’s family held a prayer gathering in his memory, and many famous people from Bollywood showed up to pay their respects. Among those in attendance were Saif Ali Khan, Prasoon Joshi, Drashti Dhami, and others.
At 3:30 a.m. on March 24th, he passed away. He was 68. The director’s potassium levels were dangerously low, and he was undergoing dialysis. At 2:30 in the morning, his health suddenly deteriorated, and he was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
On March 22, after experiencing complications from a viral fever, including pneumonia, Sarkar was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital in Mumbai. The chief executive officer of the hospital told TOI that the director was a dialysis patient with chronic kidney illness.
In 2005, Pradeep Sarkar directed his first feature film, “Parineeta,” which starred Vidya Balan. Mardaani, Laga Chunari Mein Daag, Helicopter Eela, Lafangey Parindey, and others are just some of the other movies he’s helmed. Web series such as “Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala” and “Arranged Marriage and Forbidden Love” were also produced by Sarkar.
