Yo Yo Honey Singh, a rapper, has spoken out about allegations that he kidnapped and assaulted an event organiser.
Festivina Music Festival founder Vivek Ravi Raman filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police on Wednesday, claiming he was kidnapped and beaten by Honey Singh and his gang.
Honey Singh responded to the allegations against him on Thursday night via Instagram Story, saying that they are “false” and “baseless.”
The charges made in the lawsuit are completely unfounded. The media has been showing a complainant who has no link to my company all morning. Tribevibe, a reputable company and a sibling concern of Bookmyshow, hired me for the Mumbai Show. I did my thing for however long the permit was valid for,” he wrote.
The rest of those rumours are lies meant to destroy my reputation, so stop spreading them. My legal team is preparing a slander suit against these thugs as we speak,” he continued.
On April 15 at MMRDA Grounds in BKC, Vivek Ravi Raman hosted a music festival called Yo Yo Honey Singh 3.0 by Festivina. In his report to the BKC police, the victim said that Honey Singh and his associates were so angry over the event’s cancellation that they kidnapped, held, and abused him at a hotel in Mumbai.
Honey Singh’s rumoured split from model girlfriend Tina Thadani has also made headlines.
