Shabana Azmi didn’t show up to Satish Kaushik’s wrap party for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani because it was hosted by Karan Johar

Now that they’ve finished filming their final song in Kashmir, the crew behind the film can finally call the film a wrap. Towards the end of filming, Karan Johar threw a celebration for the entire cast and crew.
One thing was missing that didn’t seem to belong. In the film, Shabana Azmi plays a vital role although she wasn’t there.
Shabana is not in the mood to celebrate anything right now, a close friend of the actress says, because of the death of her husband, actor Satish Kaushik. Satish and both Shabana and Javed were close friends of his. Each year, Satish celebrated Holi with them at their Lonavala home, Sukoon. Unlike previous years, Shabana was not present for this year’s Holi celebration. She went to Budapest, Hungary, to do some filming. That meant she didn’t get to say goodbye to Satish in person. There was a running theme during Satish’s party about how much he missed Shabana.
Shabana has trouble forgiving herself. There has never been a Holi party at Sukoon without Shabana attending in my lifetime. A close friend of Shabana’s recently passed away, and she regrets not getting to say goodbye.
