These increases went into effect immediately.According to the information provided, the salaries of the employees working in Grades 1 through 16 will be increased by 35%, while the salaries of the employees working in Grades 17 and beyond would receive a 30% hike.



In addition, the government has given its approval for an increase in a pension of 17.5% for the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24.Aside from that, the government established the minimum wage at Rs32,000; at first, it was established at Rs30,000; however, on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the cabinet meeting, Rs2,000 were added to it in order to reflect the increase.The Pay and Pension Commission had suggested that the government consider a 100% increase in medical and conveyance allowances for government employees, in addition to a 10% rise in ad hoc allowances.
