The filming of ‘Sam Bahadur,’ starring Vicky Kaushal, is now over

The filming of “Sam Bahadur,” directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Vicky Kaushal, was completed, the actor revealed on Tuesday. Based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest war heroes, “Sam Bahadur” is a historical drama. The movie, set to be released in theatres on December 1, 2023, is produced by RSVP Movies.
Posting a photo with Gulzar, who previously directed him in her 2018 film “Raazi,” Kaushal announced the film’s completion on Instagram.
The 34-year-old actor expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to portray a “true legend” on the big screen.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible team and helping me tell the story of a living legend. There is so much I can share with you all; I have lived and learned so much “Written by Kaushal.
“A heartfelt “Thank You” to Meghna, Ronnie, my brilliant co-actors, the incredible Team, the Manekshaw Family, the Indian Army, and FM Sam H. F. J. Manekshaw himself. Production on #Sam has officially ended. See you all in cinemas on 1st Dec 2023,” he added.
In August of last year, “Sam Bahadur” premiered in theatres. It also stars Sanya Malhotra as Manekshaw’s wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The script was written by Meghna’s dad Gulzar, Bhavani Iyer, and Shantanu Srivastava. Besides directing, Gulzar also wrote the movie’s lyrics to the music by the superstar duo Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
