There have been rumours circulating online for a few months about marital problems between Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and former Pakistan national cricket team captain Shoaib Malik. Izhaan, their son, is four years old and the product of their union.
Most online users, upon hearing rumours that their marriage was in crisis, assumed that the couple was doomed to separation and divorce and could never get back together. The speculations of strife in their marital paradise were already circulating when Sania added fuel to the fire with her mysterious social media remarks.
Sania was recently asked a provocative question about how she balances motherhood and professional success at an event. She looked taken aback by the sexist remark, and she fired back that the question should be posed to Shoaib, too. Sania said it perfectly: “Jaise wo (Shoaib Malik) manage karte hain, waise main manage karti hu.”
She continued by saying that he should be asked the same thing, but she answered with a sly smirk on her face. Further, Sania reaffirmed, “Aap agar Shoaib Malik ko wo sawaal poochenge, to main bhi aapko jawab de dungi.”
