Sara Ali Khan talks about her worst phase in life: It began with a breakup and ended with two flops

Sara Ali Khan’s first two Bollywood films—Kedarnath and Simmba—were huge successes. But soon she had a string of box office bombs, including Love Aaj Kal and Coolie No 1. Together, her breakup and the year 2020 were described as the worst period of her life.
While filming Love Aaj Kal, rumours circulated that Sara and Kartik Aaryan started dating. Both parties have remained silent about their relationship, but Karan Johar confirmed it on his talk show Koffee With Karan. When their relationship ended, they stopped talking to each other and the 2020 release date for the film became a major milestone for both of them.
“The year 2020 has only gotten worse. Breakup was the beginning of the end. Sara said this about her rough year on the podcast The Ranveer Show. She also addressed the online harassment she endured following Love Aaj Kal’s disappointing box office performance. She claimed that the trolling did not affect her all that much because she was already in a dark place mentally.
“When you know you deserve the trolls or when something truly terrible has happened, the fact that it is on the internet can seem incidental and trivial in comparison to the fact that it actually occurred. She told him, “It doesn’t matter that 20 people are reading about it since you are so disturbed yourself; kya farak padta hai 20 logg padd rahe hain, khud apne andar jwalamukhi ho raha hai.” If you’re feeling sad, miserable, exhausted, scared, or nervous, it doesn’t matter that 20 people are reading about it.
During the same conversation, Sara said it’s okay to make mistakes at her age and that she did so in Love Aaj Kal and Coolie No. 1. She’ll be co-starring with Vikrant Massey in the upcoming film Gaslight. Sara’s second OTT film following Atrangi Re.
