It has been reported that Saanvi Malu’s husband, Satish Kaushik, murdered him, and the Delhi Police are currently looking into this claim. Saanvi failed to appear yesterday for a scheduled interview with police. But in an exclusive interview with ETimes, her solicitor Rajendra Chhabra said that his client is cooperating with authorities.
The New Delhi-based Chhabra told ETimes, “Saanvi Malu was interviewed by an ACP and two senior inspectors from the Delhi Police Department yesterday afternoon. A fire is always present even if smoke is present.” We questioned Chhabra on the speculation that Saanvi Malu wasn’t prepared to give her statement to the police. The solicitor elaborated, “It all started yesterday when the family of Saanvi Malu met with the officer who had been appointed to investigate—the discredited Vijay Singh. This is the same inspector who botched and derailed the previous investigations. There was an instant change in him. Saanvi now has access to crucial evidence, which she is prepared to share with the investigation team.”
Since Saanvi first made her accusations against Satish Kaushik, his detractors, including his own family, have insisted there was no foul play in his death. But Chhabra made an effort to set the record straight, saying “They claimed that Satish Kaushik and Vikas Malu did not know each other professionally. Saanvi, however, possesses the evidence that demonstrates their business partnership. She claims she overheard her husband chatting with Satish Kaushik. The veracity of the statement itself is not the only topic at hand.”
