Update: Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is getting a standalone PS5 release

Spider-Man Remastered
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PS5 is now available as a single title from the PlayStation Store, priced at $49.99. A prequel comic to Spider-Man 2 is also on the way.
The restored edition of Insomniac’s original Spider-Man game is getting its own release, and more is on the way for the series. Sometime later this month, Insomniac Games will release a standalone edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PlayStation 5.
The upgraded version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, released in 2018, was initially exclusive to the Ultimate Edition starring Miles Morales. PlayStation 5 customers will soon have the option to purchase Peter’s journey on its own.
Those who already own the game on PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 Remastered edition for $10 if they have the disc or digital copy. Meanwhile, those who already possess Miles Morales can upgrade to the Ultimate Edition to get the remaster in the same way. Alternatively, you may get Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for $49.99 from the PlayStation Store if neither of those appeal to you.
If you own the PS4 Spidey game but prefer the digital PS5 remaster, keep in mind that you’ll need to insert the disc every time you want to play the digital version.
