SRK Drops Major Bombshell Due to financial constraints, Gauri Khan began her design career

The wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, is an interior designer who has just released a coffee table book titled My Life In Design. In the book’s introduction, Gauri’s husband, the celebrity SRK, says some surprising things about his wife.
A Twitter user posted excerpts from the book’s introduction, in which SRK explains what inspired Gauri to begin her creative career. They were expecting their first kid, Aryan Khan, and had just purchased their first home. Gauri volunteered to be the interior decorator when they realised they could not afford to hire one.
It went much above our budget, but we needed a place to call home with the impending arrival of our son, Aryan. So, we decided to try to make purchases as cash became available. Since we could not afford a designer, Gauri took on that role,” SRK explained.
Later he elaborated, “We once went to buy a sofa, but since it was too expensive, we just bought the leather for the sofa on one of my travels and waited for some carpenter to build what Gauri had designed in a notebook.”
SRK admitted that they were in a tight financial spot after purchasing Mannat because all of their savings had been poured into the home’s purchase price. After putting it down for a while, Gauri put on her designer hat once more, and “slowly, what started as a necessity turned into a passion.”
The Pathaan actress went on to say that it was a “pretty big task” to create her own house. But Gauri did the same thing with herself by training. According to Shah Rukh Khan, “the task of designing her own house, which was rather large, the appreciation of friends, and the sheer determination to make sure that our home was what we always desired urged her on to learn new things.” She studied architecture in order to learn how to put a house together, figuring out the logistics, the aesthetics, and the fundamental necessities.
