Actor Sooraj Pancholi was cleared of aiding in the suicide of fellow actor Jiah Khan by a special CBI court on Friday, capping off a decade-long legal battle. The actress was discovered dead on June 3, 2013, in her Juhu residence, and on June 10, 2013, Sooraj was detained by the Juhu police on allegations of abetment of suicide in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend. The trial lasted 10 years, during which time he was released on bond.
Sooraj, relieved by his acquittal, handed out treats to the paparazzi.
