Suniel Shetty on Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal: It’s a relief to finally have an answer to this question
Now that the long-awaited third installment of the Hera Pheri comedy franchise starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal is officially in production, actor Suniel Shetty (who played the role of Shaam in the first two films) can breathe a sigh of relief.
Hera Pheri 3, which had been in development for a long time, finally saw the light of day. Akshay had previously stated, a few months prior, that he would not be participating due to differences in creative vision. Akshay has joined the cast thanks to producer Firoz Nadiadwala, and the film’s popular trio has already filmed a promotional teaser.
Finally, Hera Pheri 3 is going ahead! I’m looking forward to working with Pareshji and Akki again. It was a long road, but it was worth it to get an answer to my question. A LinkedIn post by Suniel.
The actor also discussed the film’s budget, production, distribution, and financial success. Box office, digital and satellite rights, music licencing, and other forms of monetization were all discussed in depth.
In his final note, he said, “After 33 years and 125 films, I still don’t have it all figured out, but I’ll keep getting better at it.”
Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh will all be back in their previous Hera Pheri roles as Raju, Shaam, and Baburao, respectively. Hera Pheri, released in 2000, was a huge success for the three actors, and the sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, was released in 2006.
