In accordance with a recent report, Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad have decided against having a traditional wedding ceremony

Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad
Celebrations for Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad’s wedding are currently underway in Delhi. Haldi, Mehendi, and Sangeet nights were recently held at Swara’s nani’s farmhouse in the city, where the festivities have been held thus far.
Despite all of the celebrations that would normally take place, Swara and Fahad have decided not to get married. As reported by India Today, the couple has decided against having a traditional Hindu wedding or nikaah in favour of just a haldi, mehendi, sangeet, and reception. Reports indicate that on March 16 in Delhi, the couple will throw a reception.
Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad tied the knot legally in Mumbai back in February. Swara has posted an announcement to this effect, saying, “So blessed to be supported and cheered by the love of family and friends like family!” I borrowed my mom’s sari and jewellery and forced @FahadZirarAhmad to wear colour. which we did by filing paperwork under the #SpecialMarriageAct. We give the #SpecialMarriageAct our highest praise (despite notice period etc.) It’s there, so at least there’s hope for love. The freedom to love, to marry, to exercise choice, and to make one’s own life decisions should not be reserved for a select few. After that, the couple had exchanged garlands.
