Tabu on doing Bollywood films back-to-back! Says she never got time to think of anything else

Tabu
Since quite some time, she has been wowing audiences with her commanding turns in Bollywood films. However, in the past, the actress has also portrayed notable roles in foreign films. Tabu has been able to garner attention in both critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, The Namesake (2006) and Life of Pi (2012).
When asked why she isn’t more prominent in foreign films, she responds, “Well, there’s a lot of work that does come my way, given that the showbiz has opened up (to world talent) now.” It’s been like way for a long time, but now, it’s expanded even farther. Unfortunately, I just don’t have the free time to do these films. Because I have been working nonstop for the past four to five years with no downtime in between.
She has appeared in a number of films over the past five years, including Andhadhun, De De Pyaar De, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Drishyam 2, Kuttey, and Bholaa. Tabu has stated that she is open to international roles if she finds one that truly excites her, despite the fact that Hindi films now consume the most of her time.
She claims, “I will take up a project if it adds to my personal growth.” Work can take you in any direction, therefore I won’t claim career advancement. So yeah, if I think this is a great opportunity for me to develop professionally, I’ll take it. Similarly, if working on a project allows me to network with fascinating individuals, I should jump at the chance. For me, it has never been about the work itself but rather the people I get to know and work alongside. Working requires constant social interaction. That’s why I think it’s so crucial. I would spend the time to work on a project with a group of people if I felt a strong desire to collaborate with them.
