According to rumours, Rani Mukerji has officially signed on to star in Vaibhavi Merchant’s directorial debut film. A news website reports that Vaibhavi will direct this low-budget film with the support of Rani’s husband, Aditya Chopra’s production company. Rani and Vaibhavi, an actor and choreographer, have been friends for decades and have worked together on a number of occasions.
In 2011, the Norwegian Childcare System (Barnevernet) removed Sagarika Chakraborty’s children from her care, prompting widespread applause for Rani’s previous film, which was based on Chakraborty’s genuine tale.
