Has a ‘time-out’ been declared by YRF and Ranveer Singh?
With his debut in Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer Singh quickly became one of Yash Raj Films‘ most exciting discoveries. He then went on to direct several successful films, like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Simmba, and Gully Boy. The partnership between Yash Raj Films and Ranveer, though, has not been as fruitful. Since Ranveer’s first film, they have starred together in five more.
According to a recent revelation in an entertainment website, YRF is currently putting in a lot of effort to promote its YRF Spy Universe, and each film requires their undivided attention. These spy movies will have a significant impact on the studio’s future. However, the article claims that YRF will keep working on other projects, including as the online show with Vaani Kapoor that was just revealed.
Despite this progress, studio executives say they can’t fit Ranveer into their current projects. It should be mentioned that the actor recently severed ties with the studio that handled his scheduling and endorsement deals.
Even while movies like Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, Gunday, Jayeshbhai Jordar, Kill Dil, and Befikre did poorly at the box office, YRF nonetheless made money on them thanks to OTT and satellite rights arrangements. The lacklustre history of the YRF-Ranveer partnership is reportedly the primary factor in the studio’s decision to take it easy on the ‘Cirkus’ star in the future.
